Assembly Procedure

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Assemble valve assembly (7) in the following manner:
Install O-ring seal (23) .
Install nut (31) and retainer (25). Tighten nut (31) to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).
Install O-ring seals (28), valve (27), spring (22), dowel (30), and plate (24) .
Install cap (29) onto relief valve (26). Tighten cap (29) to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft).
Install O-ring seals (20) and (21) .

Assemble valve assembly (6) in the following manner:
Install O-ring seal (11) .
Install nut (19) and retainer (13). Tighten nut (19) to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).
Install valve (15), spring (10), pins (18), and plate (12) .
Install O-ring seal (16) .
Install cap (17) onto relief valve (14). Tighten cap (17) to a torque of 110 10 N m (81 7 lb ft).
Install O-ring seals (8) and (9) .

Install valve assemblies (6) and (7) .

Install O-ring seals (5), springs (4), and valves (3) .

Install plate (2) and bolts (1) .End By: Install the manifold and relief valve. Refer to the Service Manual module Disassembly and Assembly, "Manifold and Relief Valve - Install".
