Information:
Hoist control LOWER position - Hold the hoist control lever forward to lower the dump body. When the lever is released, the lever will return to the FLOAT position.
FLOAT Position - When the hoist control lever is in the FLOAT position, the dump body will seek a level. The hoist control will stay in this position until the lever is manually moved.
HOLD Position - When the hoist control is in the HOLD position, the dump body will not move. The hoist control will stay in this position until the lever is manually moved.
RAISE Position - Hold the hoist control lever backward to raise the dump body and empty the load. When the lever is released, the lever will return to the HOLD position . Secondary Brake System Control Pedal (8) - This pedal is used to stop the machine if the service brake control (9) does not stop the machine properly. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Braking" for additional information.
To avoid the possibility of a unexpected machine movement when parking on a slope, always block the wheels securely before leaving the machine unattended.If the secondary brake system is required in order to stop the machine, do not operate the machine until a complete check has been made of the entire braking system and until all necessary repairs have been made.
Service Brake Control Pedal (9) - During normal operation, this pedal is depressed to slow or stop the machine. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Braking" for additional information.Accelerator Pedal (10) - The accelerator pedal controls the fuel flow to the engine. As the accelerator pedal is depressed, the engine rpm will increase.
Throttle Backup and Throttle Lock Switch (11) - This switch will perform the function of throttle lock and the function of throttle backup. Throttle Backup - If there is a malfunction in the throttle position sensor, this switch is used to raise the engine RPM above low idle. This action allows transportation to a service area. Place the direction/speed control lever in the desired gear. Hold the switch in the depressed position. While the switch is held in the depressed position, the engine low idle RPM will raise to 1300 RPM. When the switch is released, the engine RPM will return to low idle.Throttle Lock - The throttle lock will maintain the engine speed at full throttle without depressing the accelerator pedal. Perform the following steps to activate the throttle lock:
Place the transmission control in the desired gear.
If necessary, accelerate or decelerate to shift the transmission into the selected gear.
Select a top gear limit with the direction/speed control (6) or with the buttons (6A) and (6B) .
Place the accelerator pedal at full throttle and momentarily depress switch (11) .Note: The dash indicator light for the throttle lock will illuminate when the throttle lock is activated.
