Pivot bracket (6) downward in order to line up the holes.
Install two bolts (8), the washer, and the nut.
Connect the electrical wiring harness (9) .
Repeat steps 5.a through step 5.d for the opposite side.

Pivot the rippers to the operating position.
Remove the nut and bolt (11) and pivot shank (10) rearward.
Align the hole and install bolt (11) and the nut.
Repeat steps 6 through 6.b for the remaining shanks on the main frame.
If equipped, unfold the wings of the implement.
Pivot the ripper shanks that are on the wings to the operating position.
Refer to steps 6 through 6.b for the procedure to pivot the shanks to the operating position.Install the Disc Gangs
All of the disc gangs are attached to the frame in the same manner. Use the following procedure for all the disc gangs that need to be installed on the implement that is being assembled.

Install the disc gangs.

Remove the strap for shipping from hydraulic cylinder (13) .
Lift the cylinder and support hydraulic cylinder (13), as shown. The cylinder will interfere with the installation of the disc gang if the cylinder is not held out of the way.

Remove cotter pin (16), castle nut (15) and bolt (14) from the frame of the disc gangs.

Use a suitable lifting device and position the disc gang for installation.Note: If a lift truck is used as a lifting device, the tractor will need to be disconnected from the implement. There is not enough room in order to maneuver a lift truck if a tractor is attached to the implement.

Use the lifting device to position disc gang (19) in order to align the holes and install bolts (14), and castle nuts (15). Tighten the castle nut until the castle nut contacts the bushing in bracket (20) .Note: Bushings (20) and (21) are installed at the factory.
Position the castle nut in order to install cotter pin (16) .
Remove retaining pin (17) and pin (18) from hydraulic cylinder (13). See Illustration 11.

Attach the lifting straps to the disc gang and use a suitable lifting device to lift the disc gang in order to attach the hydraulic cylinder.Note: The disc gang should pivot at the bolts that were installed in step 1.e.
Install pin (18) and retaining pin (17) for the hydraulic cylinder that attaches to the disc gang.

A ratchet jack can be used for the adjustment of the disc gangs. The ratchet jack could be used in place of the hydraulic cylinder for depth control of the disc gangs.
Repeat steps 1.e through 1.i for the remaining disc gangs.
Phase the hydraulic cylinders.Reference: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Cylinders - Phasing" for the procedure to phase the hydraulic cylinders.
Check the lights for proper operation.
