(9) Location of the studs that will be welded to the frame
Use the holes in 255-6480 Plate (7) to mark locations on the frame for two studs. Weld two 112-9073 Weld Studs onto the frame in the location that is shown above.
Secure 255-6480 Plate (7) to the frame with two 8T-4244 Nuts and two 8T-4223 Hard Washers .
Tighten 6V-9172 Nut (5) .Improvement for 229-0081 Secondary Steering Tube
The 185-4026 Check Valve has been replaced with another check valve and relocated in order to protect the 229-0081 Tube As from pressure fluctuations. These changes are effective with (S/N: 3KZ1731-UP) and (S/N: AAE804-UP). The changes are retrofitted to (S/N: 3KZ1-1730) and (S/N: AAE1-803) with the following procedure.

(16) 8C-6416 Fitting (17) 150-4037 Tee (14) 3E-7423 Connector (18) 9T-1013 Check Valve (19) 262-4936 Tube If 229-0081 Tube (15) has failed perform the following procedure.
Remove existing 229-0081 Tube (15), 3E-7423 Connector (14) and 185-4026 Check Valve (13) .
Add new 262-4936 Tube (19) in place of the old parts.
Remove existing 164-5586 Tee (10), 164-5567 Coupling Fitting (12) and 148-8370 Elbow (11) .
Add 9T-1013 Check Valve (18) and 3E-7423 Connector (14) to existing hose.
Add 150-4037 Tee (17) and 8C-6416 Fitting (16) and reconnect the line.If 229-0081 Tube (15) has not failed perform the following procedure. (This will add a new check valve at a different location in order to protect 229-0081 Tube (15) from pressure spikes.)
Remove existing 164-5586 Tee (10), 164-5567 Coupling Fitting and 148-8370 Elbow (11) .
Add 9T-1013 Check Valve (18) and 3E-7423 Connector (14) to existing hose.
Add 150-4037 Tee (17) and 8C-6416 Fitting (16) and reconnect the line.
