Hydraulic oil tank (1) is located to the rear of the operator station. The suction filter is located in the top of the hydraulic oil tank. The hydraulic oil passes through the suction filter to the charge pump section of the front propel pump. Hydraulic oil for the rear propel pump is drawn through a suction strainer at the rear of the hydraulic tank.Hydraulic oil cooler (2) is mounted in front of the radiator. Case drain oil from the propel system flows through the hydraulic oil cooler before returning to the hydraulic oil tank. Propel pump (4) for the rear wheel drive is located on the front left section of the mainframe in tandem with the hydraulic auxiliary pump. The propel pump transfers hydraulic power to rear propel motors (3). The rear propel motors are located at each of the rear legs directly behind the tires.Front propel motor (6) is mounted on the two-speed transmission. The propel motor is a dual displacement motor and an axial piston hydraulic motor. Front propel pump (5) is located on the front right section of the mainframe.Normal Rear Drive Operation
The rear drive system will only work in the first speed with the rear drive switch in ON position (2) .As the front tires begin rotation, a speed signal is generated at the front propel motor. This signal is then used as an input to the rear drive controller. The rear drive controller will stroke the rear drive pump in order to match the speed of the front drive pump. This function is dependent on the speed input. The rear tires will drive approximately at the same speed as
