Engine News, SEBD9989, 01 May 2015, "New Engine Software Is Used on Certain 3406 and C18 Marine Engines". Disregard the previous article. That article that follows has been updated for serial number effectivity.Description of Change: The software allows low oil pressure shutdown fault E360(3) to clear on power cycle or a DM11 reset. Resolved the issue with the engine RPM getting stuck at 1000RPM in the cylinder cutout test on JLE prefix engines.The software will stop the broadcasting of the turbocharger SPN's on the data link that were showing up on the engine control module.Adaptable To: The new software group will correct the PMS bit setting on low-pressure shutdown. The new software is adaptable back to the first production of the above listed engines.
