Do not work around the center of the machine with the anti-pivot link disconnected.
1. Remove the grease lines, as necessary, to remove the steer cylinder.2. Remove bolt and washer (1) from the rod end of the steer cylinder.3. Remove pin (2) from the rod end of the steer cylinder.4. Install a nylon strap and a hoist to the steering cylinder. Start the machine and turn the steering wheel until the rod end of the cylinder is in the cylinder all the way. Stop the machine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system before any oil lines are disconnected.
5. Remove the hydraulic lines, as necessary, to remove steer cylinder (3).6. Remove the bolt and washer that fastens the pin at the head end of the cylinder.7. Remove the pin that holds the head end of the cylinder.8. Remove steering cylinder (3) from the machine with a hoist. The weight of the steering cylinder is approximately 453 kg (1000 lb).Install Steering Cylinders
1. Fasten a hoist to the steering cylinder. Put steering cylinder (3) in position in the machine.2. Install the pin that holds the head end of the cylinder in place.3. Install the washer and bolt that hold the pin in position.4. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the steer cylinder.5. Start the machine and move the rod end of the cylinder until it is in position in the front main frame. 6. Install pin (2) in the rod end of the cylinder. Fasten pin (2) with bolt and washer (1).7.
