Description of Change: A new Boost Pressure Sensor is now used on the marine engines listed above. This new sensor is less sensitive to moisture. A sensor with lower moisture sensitivity will have higher reliability.A new elbow is also now used on the marine engines listed above. This new elbow is used with the Boost Pressure Sensor. The new Boost Pressure Sensor Elbow is made of brass. A brass elbow will be more resistant to corrosion and/or contamination. Adaptable To: The 218-3840 Pressure Sensor is now used on the engines listed above. The 218-3840 Pressure Sensor is a direct replacement for the 169-3725 Pressure Sensor in Marine applications. The new 218-3840 Pressure Sensor is effective with the serial numbers listed in Table 1.The 223-1624 Elbow is also now used on the engines listed above. The 223-1624 Elbow is a direct replacement for the 3E-2332 Elbow or the 9S-0261 Adapter. The new 223-1624 Elbow is effective with the serial numbers listed in Table 1. Use the following O-Rings on the 223-1624 Elbow :

6V-5049 O-Ring Seal Note: When installing the 218-3840 Pressure Sensor and the 223-1624 Elbow, ensure that the elbow is positioned upward. When the elbow is positioned upward, the sensor will not collect moisture and/or contamination.
