Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install valve (31), spring (32), O-ring seal (33), and plug (30) to body (3) .

Install screw (25) and nut (26) to relief valve (24) .Note: Install screw (25) to the appropriate position in order to maintain the proper relief pressure. Rotate screw (25) until reaching the number of turns that were noted in the disassembly procedure.
Install O-ring seal (27), backup ring (28), and O-ring seal (29) to relief valve (24) .

Install relief valve (24) to body (3) .

Position stem (22), rectangular seal (23), and cover (16) to body (3) .
Position spring (21), dowel (20), rectangular seal (19), and cover (18) to body (3) .

Install four bolts (17) that secure cover (16) to body (3) .
Install elbow (15) and the O-ring seal to cover (16) .
Repeat Step 11 in order to install the cover on the remaining side of body (3) .

Install ball (14), retainer (13), spring (12), retainer (11), and retaining ring (10) to stem assembly (9) .

Use Tool (A) (not shown) in order to install retaining ring (10) to stem assembly (9) .
Repeat Steps 14 and 15 for the remaining side of stem assembly (9) .

Install stem assembly (9) to body (3) .

Install rectangular seal (6) to cover (5) .
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of bolt (7). Install bolt (7) and spacer (8) to cover (5) .

Position cover (5) to body (3) .
Install four bolts (4) and the washers that secure cover (5) to body (3) .
Repeat Steps 18, 19, 20, and 21 in order to install the cover on the remaining side of body (3) .

Install two rectangular seals (1) and (2) to body (3) of the diverter valve.End By: Install the diverter valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diverter Valve (Secondary Steering) - Install".
