Install the 061-6717 Flared Elbow (2) into the opening on the top of the 108-7978 Bypass Reservoir Assembly or the 108-7980 Bypass Reservoir Assembly (1) .
At location (A), remove the 5M-6213 Pipe Plug from the engine oil filter base (E). The plug is located on the bottom side of the base. Install the 4L-7412 Adapter (6) in the hole at location (A) .
Install a 9L-5254 Flared Elbow (5) in the 4L-7412 Adapter (6). See Illustration 4.Note: The engine oil reservoir assembly (1) will sit on the floor next to the engine. This area will permit the connection of the 8P-9872 Hose Assembly (4) and the 9P-8241 Hose Assembly (8) .
Connect the 8P-9872 Hose Assembly (4) to the 061-6717 Flared Elbow (2) and the 001-6412 Flared Connector (9) .
Remove the 3B-0551 Pipe Plug from the hole (C) that is closest to the engine oil reservoir assembly (1) in the engine oil pan (D) .
Install the 6B-9081 Reducing Bushing (10) in the hole (C) in the engine oil pan (D). Install the 001-6412 Flared Connector (9) in the 6B-9081 Reducing Bushing (10) .
Install a 001-6412 Flared Connector (7) into the check valve (B) .
Connect the 9P-8241 Hose Assembly (8) to the 001-6412 Flared Connector (7) and the 9L-5254 Elbow (5) .
Remove the top cover from the engine oil reservoir assembly (1). Add the following additional amount of clean engine oil:
Add 87 L (23 US gal) for the 164-5679 Engine Oil Reservoir Group .
Add 132 L (35 US gal) for the 164-5682 Engine Oil Reservoir Group .When the oil reservoir is full, install the cover.Note: The amount of oil that is needed in order to fill the oil reservoir is in addition to the amount of oil that is needed to fill the engine oil sump.
Start the engine. If necessary, add oil.There is a 108-7987 O-Ring Seal that is installed between the reservoir's body and the reservoir's cover assembly. Carefully inspect this seal
