The new design will reduce cracking and leaking near the top of the front tank mount.Adaptable To: For the FDB machines equipped with the 4921 L (1300 US gal) fuel tank, the new 366-3276 Fuel Tank Gp is a direct replacement for the former 240-4800 Fuel Tank Gp in the 240-4799 Fuel Tank and Filter Ar .The new 366-3276 Fuel Tank Gp is adaptable to machines FDB1-1408. The new fuel tank group became effective in production with the machine FDB1409-UP.For the FDB machines equipped with the 4353 L (1150 US gal) fuel tank, the new 380-0864 Fuel Tank As is a direct replacement for the former 245-1224 Fuel Tank As in the 240-4807 Fuel Tank Gp .The new 380-0864 Fuel Tank As is adaptable to machines FDB1-1408. The new fuel tank group became effective in production with the machine FDB1409-UP.For the SSP machines equipped with the 4921 L (1300 US gal) fuel tank, the new 361-9822 Fuel Tank Gp is a direct replacement for the former 287-4503 Fuel Tank Gp in the 258-6996 Fuel Tank Ar .The new 361-9822 Fuel Tank Gp is adaptable to machines SSP1-255. The new fuel tank group became effective in production with the machine SSP256-UP.A new special instruction is available. This special instruction contains the information that is needed to strengthen the fuel tanks on the 793D and 793F Off-Highway Trucks. The procedure will update the tanks to the new design.For the complete list of material and the correct procedure that is needed in order to improve the fuel tanks on the above listed machines, refer to Special Instructions, REHS5094, "Procedure to Improve the Fuel Tank Assembly on the 793D and 793F Off-Highway Trucks".
