Locate vibratory speed sensor connector (10) for the drum being tested. Do not disconnect the connector.
Insert black spoon from Tool (B) into pin "2" of the connector. Insert red spoon from Tool (B) into pin "3" of the connector.
Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A). Set Tool (A) to measure frequency.
Move engine start switch (8) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Place the engine in ECO mode.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the OFF position.
Set the vibratory system in the manual mode.

Select "Machine Setup" (12).

If necessary, use drum select switch (15) to select both drums.Note: Two things indicate when the machine is in both drums mode. First, "Vibe Drum Select Dual" will appear on the display. Second, both LEDs next to drum select switch (15) will be illuminated.
Launch the Plus+1TM program on the computer to enable the vibe test mode.Note: First time users need to perform the tasks in the Communication and Connections Wizard. This wizard allows the Windows® operating system to recognize the USB device. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Click "Status" icon (16).
Check the "Active Codes". Clear any open "Active Codes".
Check "Machine Control" (17). Clear any open "Active Codes".

Click "Hydraulics" (18).
Click "Vibe Test Modes" (19).

Click "Enable" icon (20) to enable the "Normal Vibe Test Mode".
When "Normal Vibe Test Mode" is in "Enabled" mode, the Plus+1TM program is launched.

Press vibratory control switch (21) on the propel control lever. Hold the vibratory control switch down for 2 seconds to activate the vibratory system.
Read frequency shown on Tool (A).
Press vibratory control switch (21) to shut off the vibratory system.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move engine start switch (8) to the OFF position.
If the machine tested is a solid drum, multiply frequency measured in Step 24 by 1.58. Refer to Table 2 for the correct VPM for your machine. Compare this value to frequency measured by Tool (A). The values should match within 50 vpm.
If the machine tested is a split drum, multiply frequency measured in Step by 24 1.25. Refer to Table 2 for the correct VPM for your machine. Compare this value to frequency measured by Tool (A). The values should match within 50 vpm.

If the vibratory speed sensor is not functioning properly or shows no signal, clean, replace, or repair the vibratory speed sensor and retest. Go to Step 8. If the vibe speed sensor is functioning properly, remove the tooling and lower the machine to the ground.Note: The speed sensors can alternately be tested with the service tool software.
