However, due to memory constraints, the diagnostic text might not always appear.From the diagnostic screen, the display controls have the following functionality:Button 5 - On the first press of button 5, the user acknowledges the active diagnostic message and silences the external alarm. Refer to System Operation, UENR3959, "System Protection Functions" for more "External Alarm" information. After the first press, the user can either press button 5 again to return to the 4Up or 1Up display, or use button 3 and button 4 to cycle through any other active diagnostic messages.Button 3 and Button 4 - Button 3 and button 4 can be used to cycle through any active diagnostic messages after the currently displayed message is acknowledged.Diagnostic Indicators

(8) Diagnostic message indicatorsThere are two diagnostic message indicators that correspond to the active diagnostic and logged messages.Yellow Light - The yellow indicator will illuminate whenever an active diagnostic warning is present on the J1939.Red Light - The red indicator will illuminate whenever an active diagnostic code is present.
