CB-634C (3BR245-UP) Vibratory CompactorsReference: D&As KENR2605, KENR2573, KENR2843 and KENR2853.Description of Change: Adjusting the weight shaft end play in the eccentric weight housings is no longer required. The machining tolerances of various components in the eccentric weight groups have been tightened up. This change eliminates the need for shims to set the weight shaft end play. Weight groups produced prior to 5HN-376 and 3BR-245 may or may not have shims installed. If shims are not present after disassembly of these units, no adjustment of weight shaft end play or shimming will be required on reassembly. If shims are present after disassembly of these units, reshim and adjust the weight shaft end play as required per the D&A procedure.
For proper adjustment and shimming of the weight shafts if required, reference KENR2605 (CB-534B) for all CB-534B and CB-534C's or KENR2537 (CB-634) for all CB-634 and CB-634C's.
