This manual covers the following UPS 1200 configurations:UPS/SMS - a complete Uninterruptible Power Supply with one MMU incorporatedMMU - The MMU is a multiple module unit of a parallel system. There are two MMU units that are installed in a parallel system. Additionally, there is switchgear that is used for switching between the two MMU units.The UPS 1200 is used for the following functions:
Prevent loss of critical electronic information.
Minimize outages of equipment.
Minimize the adverse effect on equipment production due to unexpected power problems.The UPS 1200 provides advanced power conditioning features. These features include voltage regulation and harmonic cancellation. When the UPS 1200 is coupled with a standby generator, the UPS 1200 creates a complete continuous power system that protects sensitive loads from short disruptions in power and extended power outages.The two Flywheel Cabinets are integral parts of the UPS 1200. The Flywheel Cabinets are two terminal DC power storage units that are a functional replacement and/or supplement for banks of chemical batteries. The Flywheel Cabinets receive recharge power and float power from the two terminal DC Bus. Additionally, the The Flywheel Cabinets returns power to the same DC Bus whenever the bus voltage drops below a programmable threshold level.The UPS 1200 is enclosed in cabinets that are divided into multiple sections. The Illustration 1 and Illustration 2 show the cabinets in a typical UPS 1200 system.The Maintenance Bypass cabinet is only found in the UPS/SMS.UPS/SMS Typical Systems
