The use of the turbocharger vent lines will allow optimum engine performance with increased reliability. When correctly installed, the vent lines will help cool the turbocharger after shutdown. This will result in increased turbocharger and wastegate service life.
The correct installation of the turbocharger vent lines is very important to proper venting. The installation requires connecting a line between the tee on top of the aftercooler and the low pressure side of the cooling system. It is VERY IMPORTANT that this line be installed and supported in such a manner that it has a gentle upward slope with NO sags, NO dips, or NO downward bends in the line. ANY sag in the line will restrict air flow and allow a bubble to form. The air bubble will block the line and prevent venting.
To gain the benefits of the turbocharger vent lines, the lines MUST be correctly installed.
