Installation Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Check the gaskets for wear or for damage. Replace the gaskets, if necessary. Install housing assembly (3) for the exhaust bypass and the gaskets.
Replace six bolts (4). Tighten these bolts to a torque of 55 10 N m (35 7 lb ft).
Replace four bolts (2).
Replace bolts (1) in order to connect the linkage. Note: For adjustment of the linkage for the exhaust bypass, refer to the appropriate Specifications manual for your engine.End By:
Install the manifold shield that covers the exhaust bypass.
