SEAL-O-RING 3S1223 - Caterpillar

Description of Change: A new clamp, an O-ring seal, and tube assemblies for the fuel injection lines are now available. This new clamp has a rubber grommet that is incorporated into the design. The rubber grommet provides better clamping to the joint between the clamp and the line in order to secure the line. The new O-ring seal has an improved material composition for better sealing and reliability. The new tube assemblies have an improved fit in order to alleviate potential fretting of tube assemblies.Adaptable To: The former parts are replaced by the new parts. Refer to Table 1.The affected fuel injection lines groups are listed in Table 2.Refer to the engine's parts manual for the correct quantity and for the correct location of the clamp, the O-ring seal, and the tube assemblies.The change is effective with serial numbers 8RB00932-UP and 6MC00728-UP.
