Install washer (14) into base assembly (9).

Install retainer plate (13) into base assembly (9).

Install two gaskets (12). One gasket is located on each side of diaphragm (11). Install diaphragm (11), diaphragm retainer (10), the valve and self-locking nut (8). Tighten nut (8) to torque of 12.5 1 N m (111 9 lb in).

Install bolt (7) into cover (4) .

Install spring (5) into cover (4).

The exhaust bypass valve cover is under spring compression. To prevent personal injury, use caution when removing the cover.
Install cover assembly (4), bolts (3), and the washers. Torque five bolts (3) evenly to a torque of 6.5 1 N m (58 9 lb in).
Install breather assembly (2) and gaskets (1). End By:
Install the exhaust bypass. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Bypass - Install".
