Disassemble Woodward Governor Intermediate Drive Assembly
preparatory step: a) remove woodward governor intermediate drive assembly 1. Remove retaining bolts and separate base housing assembly (3) from the cover housing assembly (1).2. Remove small gear (2). Remove cotter pin from gear retaining nut (4). 3. Loosen gear retaining nut (4) until it is flush with end of shaft. Install tool setup (A) and remove gear (5). Remove the shaft. 4. Using tool setup (B), remove the bearing (7) from the cover housing assembly (6). 5. Using tool setup (B), remove bearing (8) from the base housing assembly. Remove the remaining bearing (9) from the base housing assembly.Assemble Woodward Governor Intermediate Drive Assembly
1. Using tool setup (A), install bearing in the cover housing assembly (1). 2. Using tool setup (A), install two bearings in the base housing assembly (2). 3. Lubricate bearings and shaft with clean SAE 30 engine oil.4. Install small gear.5. Install shaft.6. Install large gear over woodruff key. Install washer, retaining nut and cotter pin. 7. Position cover housing assembly to base housing assembly and install the retaining bolts.concluding step: a) install woodward governor intermediate drive assembly
