start by:a) remove bucket 1. Start the machine. Completely retract the boom cylinders. Put the end of the stick and the cylinder ends of the bucket cylinders on the floor or ground. Fasten a hoist to the stick and put tooling (A) in position under the stick cylinder as shown. 2. Remove four bolts (1) and cap (2) from each end of the pin which fastens the rod end of the stick cylinder to the stick. 3. Fasten a hoist to tooling (B). Use tooling (B) to remove the pin from the stick and stick cylinder rod end. 4. Remove four bolts (3) and cap (4) from each end of the pin which fastens the linkage to the stick. 5. Fasten a hoist to tooling (C). Use tooling (C) to remove the pin from the linkage and stick. The weight of the pin is 146 lb. (66 kg).
Do not disconnect any hydraulic oil lines until all oil pressure in the circuit has been released.
6. Disconnect two hoses (5) from the tubes. Disconnect and remove two grease lines (6). 7. Remove hose (8) from clamp (7) on each side of the stick.

8. Disconnect hose (8) from tube (11) on each side of the boom. Remove four bolts (9) and cap (10) from each end of the pin which connects the stick to boom.
There are two thrust washers between the boom and stick. They must be taken out as the pin is removed.
9. Fasten a hoist to tooling (D). Use tooling (D) to remove the pin from the stick and boom. The weight of the pin is 180 lb. (81 kg). Remove the stick from the boom. The weight of the stick is 3400 lb. (1530 kg).Install Stick
1. Fasten a hoist to the stick and put the stick in position in the boom. Install tool (A) on pin (1). Fasten a hoist to the pin and push the pin into the boom and stick. As the pin is installed, two large washers must be put in position between the stick and boom. The weight of the stick is 3400 lb. (1530 kg). The weight of the pin is 180 lb. (81 kg). 2. Install cap (2) on each end of pin (1) with four bolts and lockwashers. 3. Fasten a hoist to stick cylinder rod (3) and put the rod end in position in the stick. 4. Install tool (B) on pin (4). Put the pin into the stick and rod end as shown. 5. Install cap (5) on each end of pin (4) with four bolts and lockwashers. 6. Install tool (B) on pin (6). Fasten a hoist (not shown) to the pin and put the pin in position. Push the pin into the linkage and stick as shown. The weight of the pin is 146 lb. (66 kg). 7. Install cap (7) on each end of pin (6) with four bolts and
