Engine effectivity has been added, refer to the article that follows.Description of Change: New recommendations for parameters and request rate is available to prevent the engine from having abnormal update rate events. Following these recommendations will keep the CAN bus from being overloaded and causing communication issues with the Engine Control Module (ECM).Adaptable To: To prevent the engine from having abnormal update faults, use the following recommendations:
Staggering the Production Rates is recommended
Lower priority parameters should have longer Production Rates
Exceeding 30 parameters is not recommended
Additional parameters can be added if Production Rates are lengthenedSee Table 1 for an example of the parameter list and the request rate configuration.
