Raise engine (34) by 22 mm (0.866 inch). Remove the suitable cribbing (37) under the generator.
Lower engine (34) onto the engine mountings. Align the engine mountings and the base mounts. Install bolts (31) (not shown) hand tight.
Remove Tooling (B) and Tooling (A) from engine (34).
Tighten (31) to a torque of 190 N m (140 lb ft) on both keel cooled and sea water-cooled engines and also on radiator cooled engines. Note: On radiator cooled engine the alternator mounting bolts will need installed and tightened. As the radiator cooled engine are solidly mounted.
Position blank devices (29) onto the front and rear engine lifting eye. Install the nuts and bolts (30) to the blank devices. Tighten the nuts and bolts to a torque of 44 N m (33 lb ft).
Position screen (36) onto the generator. Install the nuts and bolts (35). Tighten the nuts and bolts to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
Install the hose assembly onto the aftercooler assembly. Tighten hose clamps (32) to a torque of 7 N m (62 lb in).
Install the hose assembly onto auxiliary water pump (33). Tighten the hose clamps to a torque of 7 N m (62 lb in).

Position the harness assembly onto the engine. Ensure that the harness assembly is correctly routed.
Connect harness assembly (17) to the coolant level switch in the expansion tank.
Connect harness assembly (18) to the engine coolant temperature sensor.
Connect harness assembly (19) to the fuel pressure sensor.
Connect harness assembly (20) (not shown) to the coolant pressure sensor in the exhaust manifold.
Connect harness assembly (21) to the inlet manifold temperature sensor.
Connect harness assembly (22) to the boost pressure sensor.
Connect harness assembly (23) and harness assembly (24) to the fuel pressure sensor on the secondary fuel filter base.
Connect harness assembly (25) and harness assembly (28) to the fuel pressure sensor on the primary fuel filter base.
Connect harness assembly (27) to the Electronic Control Module (ECM) (26). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electronic Control Module - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Install new cable straps to the harness assembly. Ensure that the cable straps are correctly positioned onto the harness assembly and align with the temporary marks. Note: Ensure that the cable straps meet the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) specification.

Connect harness assemblies (16) to the electric starting motor (15). Ensure that the harness assemblies are connected into the correct position. Tighten the nuts for the harness assemblies. Refer to Specifications, "Starter Motor" for the correct torque value.
Connect harness assembly (6) to the engine oil pressure shutdown switch.
Connect harness assembly (7) to the alternator. Ensure that the harness assembly is correctly connected the alternator.
Connect harness assembly (10) to the engine oil pressure sensor.
Install new O-ring seal (9) (not shown) and a new O-ring seal (13) (not shown). Ensure that the O-ring seals are correctly seated into the recesses of the connections.
Connect hose assembly (11) from oil filter base and the adapter. Tighten the hose assembly to a torque of 130 N m
