Use Tooling (A) in order to install the center pin (2) in the equalizer bar. Install the bearing in the equalizer bar. The bearing must be recessed. The recession should be 10 1 mm (0.39 0.039 inch) into the bore. The inside diameter of the bearing must be 50.995 0.072 mm (2.0 .003 inch).
The seal bores must be clean, free of grease, oil and old adhesive.
Put 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound on the seal bore of the equalizer bar.
Use Tooling (B) and install seals (1) in the equalizer bar with the lip of the seals toward the outside, as shown. Put clean 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease on the lip of the seals.

Use Tooling (C) and install one snap ring (4) in the equalizer bar.
Pack bearing (3) with 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease .
Install bearing (3) in the equalizer bar until the bearing makes contact with snap ring (4). If necessary, use Tooling (D) in order to install the bearing.
Install the remaining snap ring (4) in the equalizer bar with Tooling (C) .

The seal bores must be clean, free of grease, oil and old adhesive.
Put 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound on the surfaces of the equalizer bar that make contact with seals (5). Install seals (5) in the equalizer bar, as shown.End By: Install the equalizer bar. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Equalizer Bar - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
