Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Attach Tooling (B) and suitable lifting devices to cab (14). The weight of cab (14) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb). Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting devices in order to position cab (14) onto the machine.

Install four bolts (15) .

Connect harness assemblies (13) and harness assemblies (12) .

Connect ground strap (10) .

Position cover (9) and install bolts (8). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the machine.

Install clamp assemblies (7) .
Connect hose assemblies (4) .
Position plate (6) and install two bolts (5) .

Connect hoses (3) and connect harness assemblies (2) .

Remove Tooling (A) .
Install the fuel tanks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Tank - Install".
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
Charge the air conditioner system with refrigerant. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools. End By: separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
