Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Turn all switches to the OFF position.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the key.
If the machine is equipped with a supplemental steering attachment, remove the supplemental steering fuse.
At the battery disconnect switch, disconnect the negative battery cable that is connected to the frame. Note: Do not allow the disconnected battery cable to contact the disconnect switch.
Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery.
Perform the necessary repairs. Replace the cable or the battery, as needed.
Connect the negative battery cable at the battery.
Connect the battery cable at the battery disconnect switch.
Install the supplemental steering fuse.
Install the key. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
