(4) Power resistor
With the engine at high idle, adjust the speed of the generator to 1800 RPM.
Adjust the speed of the generator by turning the screw on the priority flow control valve (3). The adjustment screw for the priority flow control valve (3) is located on the generator. Turning the adjusting screw clockwise decreases the generator speed. Turning the adjusting screw counterclockwise increases the generator speed.
Adjust the voltage to 230 10 volts.
Operate the generator with the engine at high idle. Use a digital multimeter in order to observe the voltage.
Stop the generator and the engine. Adjust the power resistor for the controller (4). Downward movement of the contact lead decreases the voltage. Upward movement of the contact lead increases the voltage.
Close all of the access panels. Start the engine and operate the generator. Check the voltage. If the voltage is not correct, repeat the procedure to adjust the voltage. Adjust the voltage until the correct voltage is obtained.

(5) Disconnect switch for the generator
Stop the generator and turn the key start switch to the OFF position in order to stop the engine.
Move the disconnect switch for the generator (5) on the controller to the OFF position.
Install the magnet and connect the main leads to the magnet.
Move the disconnect switch for the generator on the controller to the ON position.
Start the engine and place the engine in low idle. With the engine at low idle, start the generator and move the engine speed dial to position 10. The engine is now in high idle.

(6) Lift/drop switch
Move the right trigger switch (6) to the lift position. The magnet should now lift material.Rotator Control and Relief Valve Adjustment
Before Performing Any Testing And Adjusting Refer To The Safety Section Of The Appropriate Standard Service Manual.
Set the Pressure Relief
Disconnect the hose assemblies for the rotator. The hose assemblies for the rotator are at the ends of the boom or the stick. Place caps on the hose assemblies.
Install a pressure gauge in the pressure line between the pump for the rotator and the control valve for the rotator. The pressure gauge must be capable of a minimum of (4000 psi).
Newer valves have adjustable line relief valves. If the nut on the side of the flow control is adjustable, turn the adjustment in the clockwise direction. Turn the adjustment in the clockwise direction all the way.
Move the engine speed dial to position 10.
Place the AEC switch in the OFF position.
Place the hydraulic activation control lever in the unlocked position.
Depress the thumb switch on the right implement control lever. Depress the thumb switch in either direction.
Adjust the pilot pressure at the relief valve. The relief valve is located on the side of the control valve for the rotator.Note: In order to increase the pilot pressure, turn the adjusting screw in the clockwise direction. In order to decrease the pilot pressure, turn the adjusting screw in the counterclockwise direction.
Set the pilot pressure to the recommended amount.Line Relief Valve Adjustment
Move the dial for the engine
