The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
The hydraulic temperature indicator (lower left) of the 166-6928 Quad Gauge Module Gp may be erratic under certain conditions on above mentioned machines. One set of conditions identified is:
Machine in gear (Non-neutral) position
Parking brake applied
Action alarm soundingNote: Also, some machines have the same problem when implement blade is raised or lowered on certain 824H, 825H and 826H machines.Solution
A permanent solution is being investigated. If erratic operation is observed under certain conditions described above, replace engineering change 03 of the 288-8390 Temperature Sensor Gp with the same part. If available, use engineering change 02 of the 288-8390 Temperature Sensor Gp . Initial investigation of this issue has concluded that engineering change 02 of the 288-8390 Temperature Sensor Gp has corrected the problem.
