Russian Roading Requirements
When traveling on a public highway a boom extension bracket must be installed to meeting Russian roading requirements.Note: While roading the machine with the boom extension brackets installed, only the following work tools (buckets) are allowed to be fitted to the machine: 278-4499 278-4487 278-4493 275-4026 HD Buckets.Installation of Boom Extension Brackets
Position the backhoe into the service position.

Lower the boom hooks to the LOCKED position.

Place the boom extension bracket (1) over the boom hook.
Install the boom extension bracket pin (2) and securing pin (3).
Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the other side of the machine.

Close the boom until the boom hook locks over the boom securing bar.
Extend the boom to lock the boom extension brackets into position. Removal of Boom Extension Bracket
Close the boom to release tension on the boom extension brackets.
Remove the boom extension bracket pins and securing pins.
Extend the boom to the service position, which will allow the boom extensions brackets to slide off the boom hooks.
Remove the boom extension brackets.
