ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect compactors to determine proper paint adhesion. If blistering or peeling is observed on the frames, remove the paint from the frame. Protect all other parts and openings to prevent dirt and cleaning material from entering the compactor machine and engine systems. Clean and prepare all reworked frame surfaces prior to application of new paint. Apply new decals in the proper locations after paint has cured.

Claim paint supplies or outside services at cost. Retain a copy of all invoices in the machine history file for auditing purposes.

The paint on the frames of the products listed below needs to be inspected and repaired as needed. Some compactors may exhibit paint blistering or peeling due to inadequate paint adhesion. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 30May2008 when scheduling this service.
