The sidecutter system shares a common hydraulic tank with the propel system, the steering system, the vibratory system and the fan system. The steering pump provides the supply oil that operates the sidecutter system.The sidecutter system is divided into sections. The first sections show the location of all electrical and hydraulic components on the machine that are part of the sidecutter system. A brief discussion of each component is provided in these sections. The last sections explain system operation. Schematics are used in these sections to trace current through the electrical system and hydraulic oil through the hydraulic system.

The red and blue lines indicate two-way communications.Sidecutter ECM (1) monitors input signals from propel lever (2) in order to determine the status of the sidecutter control switches. The propel lever provides input from the sidecutter control switches to the sidecutter ECM through the CAN lines.Sidecutter ECM (1) evaluates the input signals from the sidecutter control switches and determines if any output signals should be sent to sidecutter down solenoid (4) or sidecutter up solenoid (5). Sidecutter ECM (1) also evaluates the status of the sidecutter spray system to determines if sidecutter spray solenoid (3) should be energized.
