1 4 391-2167 Flange Locknut Use the following procedure to tighten the locknuts:
1. Before assembly, clean the stud, the locknut, and the base of the locknut.
2. Apply 2P-2333 Sealant to the threads of the stud that extend through the flange of the exhaust bypass valve and to the bottom of the mating face of each locknut.
3. Tighten two diagonal locknuts to 25 6 N m (221 53 lb in).
4. Tighten the remaining locknuts to 25 6 N m (221 53 lb in).
5. Finally, tighten all four locknuts to 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft).
