Information:

1. Remove plug (2) and the seal from the manifold.2. Remove bolts (1) that hold the transmission oil pump together. 3. Turn the transmission oil pump over. Remove cover (3) and the O-ring seal. 4. Remove lip type seal (4) from cover (3). 5. Remove drive gear (6) and driven gear (5) from the gear assemblies. 6. Remove key (8) from the drive gear assembly.7. Remove body (7) from the manifold. 8. Remove dowels (9) from body (7). 9. Remove O-ring seal (10) from the manifold. 10. Remove manifold (11) and O-ring seal from the body. 11. Remove bearings (12) from manifold (11). 12. Remove driven gear assembly (13) and drive gear assembly (14) from the manifold. 13. Remove body (15) from the manifold. 14. Remove dowels (16) from body (15). 15. Remove O-ring seal (17) from manifold (18). 16. Remove bearings (19) from manifold (18).Assemble Transmission Oil Pump (Direct Drive)
1. Make sure all the parts are clean. Put clean hydraulic oil on the parts of the pump. Install all parts for damage and make replacements if needed.
Make sure the joint in bearings (1) is in the correct location. The location of the joint is at an angle of 30° 15° from the center line of the two bearing bores in the direction of groove (4) in surface (2) of manifold (3).
2. Use tooling (A) and a press and install bearings (1) in manifold (3). The distance from the top of the bearings to surface (2) after assembly is .062 in. (1.57 mm). 3. Install O-ring seal (5) on manifold (3). 4. Install dowels (7) in body (6). The dowels must be installed .22 in. (5.59 mm) above the side of the body that has the part number on it as shown in the illustration. 5. Install body (6) on the manifold as shown. 6. Install driven gear assembly (9) and drive gear assembly (8) in the manifold.
Make sure the joint in bearings (11) is in the correct location. The location of the joint is at an angle of 30° 15° from the centerline of the two bearing bores in the direction of groove (12) in surface (10) of manifold (13).
7. Use tooling (A) and a press and install bearings (11) in manifold (B). The distance from the top of the bearings to surface (10) after assembly is 1.57 mm (.062 in.). 8. Install O-ring seal (14) on manifold (13).9. Put manifold (13) in position on the body. 10. Install O-ring seal (15) on manifold (13). 11. Install dowels (17) on body (16). The dowels must be installed .22 in. (5.59 mm) above the side of the body that has the part number on it as shown in the illustration. 12. Install body (16) on the manifold as shown. 13. Install key (18) in the drive gear assembly. 14. Install driven gear (19) and drive gear (20) on the gear assemblies. 15. Use tooling (A) and install the lip type seal in cover (21) as shown.
