Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install bearing block assembly (17).
Connect hose assembly (18).

Install bolts (16) to the bearing block assembly.

Install adapter (15) to fan (13) with bolts (14).

Install fan (13) to the shaft with bolt (12).

Install seal assembly (11).

Install precleaner body (9) with bolts (10).

Position hoses (7) in place.
Tighten clamps (8) to hoses (7).

Install plates (6) and (5) with bolts (4).

Position precleaner hood (3) in place.
Tighten clamp (2) with nut (1). End By:
Install the piston motor (fan drive). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Fan Drive) - Install".
