Remove mat (B), bolts (C), and floorplate (D) .

In order to get access to the rear of the engine, left hand engine access door (F) will need to be removed.
Install tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device. Refer to Illustration 3. The weight of the door is 23 kg (50 lb).
Remove bolts (E).
Remove the bolt and retainer (G). Remove access door (F) .

Contact Area of the Original Routing
Remove the existing return-to-tank fuel line (J). The fuel may leak from the line. Collect the fuel in a suitable container.Modifying the Barrier Assembly
A hole needs to be added to barrier assembly (N). Refer to Illustration 6 for dimensions.

The dealer may manufacture a new hose assembly. Refer to Illustration 7 for the dimensions. However, if the existing 119-5117 Hose Assembly is in good condition, the hose assembly can be reworked. To rework the hose assembly, remove the 9X-3894 Coupling . Shorten the hose assembly by approximately 548 mm (21.6 inch) to 1982 mm (78.0 inch), and reinstall the 9X-3894 Coupling .

Place grommet (6) around hose (7). Refer to Illustration 8 in order to route hose (7). Connect hose (7) to port (U) on the block at the rear of the engine and to port (M) at the fuel tank.
Use existing washers and bolts to install the new clips. Install clips (4) in the former locations of clip (H) and (K) from Illustration 4. Install clip (5) in the former location of clip (L) .

Use existing washers and bolts to reinstall the barrier assembly. Install grommet (6) around hose (7) in the new hole that was added to the barrier assembly. Reuse existing grommets in the barrier assembly around the original components.
Use a suitable lifting device and tooling (A) to position left hand engine access door (F). Install the door with existing bolts (E) and (G). Refer to Illustration 3. Remove tooling (A) .
Use bolts (C) to reinstall floorplate (D). Position mat (B) over floorplate (D) .
Turn on the fuel shutoff valve.
Prepare the machine for service.
