When the on-board system is functioning, the machine receives regular updates of any lane changes that are made in the office. This process is known as updating the mine model.
Mine Model Out of Date - Indicates that mine model updates are out of dateWhen the on-board system stops receiving updates, the Mine Model Out Of Date icon appears on the lower Status bar. The on-board software requests a new mine model update from the office. Note: Talk to your site supervisor if the icon persists for an extended period. The Mine Model Out Of Date icon appears in the following situations:Lane not recognized - The "LaneUpdate" message contains a lane that the on-board software does not have on the list. This situation rarely occurs.Lane ID not recognized - Lane ID numbers are listed in the lane.mwf file and in each mine model update (MMU) message. If the MMU message lists a Lane ID that is not in the lane.mwf file, then the on-board software asks the office software for more information about the lane.Machine does not receive MMU message - If the MMU message fails to arrive at the machine, the office informs the machine using an All Machine Position (AMP) message. The office uses the Position Report 2 (PR2) message to know which updates the machine has received. Each PR2 message contains a "LastModelUpdate" field and a "MaximumUpdateVersion" field. The office and the on-board software continually compare this data to the data in the most recent MMU message to determine if the mine model is out of date.Note: At startup the "LastModelUpdate" is 0 (zero) because this information is not retained through shutdown. At startup, Terrain considers the on-board system to be out of date until notified otherwise.Additional information is provided in the Diagnostic Message Log file and the contents of the PR2/ AMP/ and MMU messages in the office software.Display Lanes
Display Lanes - Opens the "Lane Display Options" dialog
Illustration 2 g03742553To prevent lanes from appearing on the Plan window, select the Display Lanes button. This action opens the "Lane Display Options"dialog. Select "No Lanes" on the dialog.Note: The site can limit the type of lanes that appear on the display. Your supervisor can provide information about the types of lanes that are used on your site.
