Electric Power GenerationC7.1 GEN SET (S/N: L7C1-UP; ETG1-UP)Generator SetXQP150 (S/N: PJ71-UP)Industrial EngineC7.1 (S/N: G9R1-UP)There have been some instances of leaks from the 376-4761 Seal which is part of the 383-1386 Valve Mechanism Cover Gp.To prevent the leaks occurring, a new 376-4761 Seal must be installed when the valve mechanism cover is removed for any reason. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install for the correct procedure.Note: For new engines, the valve lash should be checked and reset after the first 500 hours and 1000 hours. The valve lash will then be checked at service intervals of 1000 hours. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust for the correct procedure. Ensure that a new 376-4761 Seal is installed after this procedure has been performed.
