When replacing the 3T6962 Pressure Switch Assembly in an oil pressure application, use an 8T9815 Pressure Switch Assembly. The 9W3187 Pressure Switch Assembly has a pressure snubber (or filter) built in to the fitting to dampen pressure pulsations present in some fuel systems.
The 3T6962 Pressure Switch Assembly uses a brass fitting which is not suitable in some applications. The replacement switches have steel fittings. The replacement switches are direct replacements for the 3T6962 Pressure Switch Assembly.
