Uninterruptible Power Supply: UPS 1000S (S/N: CZS1-UP) UPS 1200S (S/N: CZT1-UP)Introduction
You must be a trained technician in order to perform the following procedure.This Special Instruction contains important safety instructions that must be followed during the replacement of the capacitors and the inverters for the Series 1200 Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) in the inverter cabinet.Read this Special Instruction thoroughly. Pay special attention to the section that applies to you before you begin working with the system. Only normal safety precautions are necessary when the module is under typical operation and all of the doors are closed.Observe all of the safety precautions during the maintenance procedures.Important Safety Information

Accidental engine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the equipment.To avoid accidental engine starting, disconnect the battery cable from the negative (−) battery terminal. Completely tape all metal surfaces of the disconnected battery cable end in order to prevent contact with other metal surfaces which could activate the engine electrical system.Place a Do Not Operate tag at the Start/Stop switch location to inform personnel that the equipment is being worked on.
Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking.When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.

General Hazard Information
Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the keyswitch or to the controls before the system is serviced or before the system is repaired. These warning tags are available from your Caterpillar dealer. Attach the warning tags to the system and to each operator control station.
