B 169-5464 Quick Cure Primer 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Illustration 2 g01261872Note: Apply Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) to the threads of studs (1) at Location (X). Wipe off all excess sealant. The three slots of the nut must be free of sealant.
Lubricate the contact points of pushrods (4) with clean engine oil. Install pushrods (4). Position rocker arm and shaft (3).
Install bolts (2) and nuts (1). Tighten bolts (2) and nuts (1) to standard torque.
Adjust the electronic unit injectors. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Unit Injector - Adjust".
Adjust the engine valve lash. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust".End By:
Install the variable valve actuator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Actuator (Variable) - Remove and Install".
