Cat ET Configuration Procedure
Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
Connect Cat ET the service tool connector.
Turn the key switch to the ON position.
Select the appropriate ECM.
The technician is on the main menu. To configure the ECM manually, select the "Service > Configuration" menu item. To use an ECM replacement file select the "Service > Copy > Configuration > ECM Replacement" menu item, follow the prompts in Cat ET. Proceed to Test Step 8.
Expand all configuration groups for the selected ECM.
Review and set each configuration as appropriate for the machine.
Cycle power with the key switch. Leave the key switch in the OFF position for a minimum of 10 seconds.
With the key start switch returned to the ON position, Cat ET will initiate communications with all ECM modules on the machine.
Click the "Data Link Disconnect" button.
Disconnect Cat ET from the service tool connector.
Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
