Information:

Do not try to check oil in suspension cylinder until all nitrogen pressure has been released. Do not, remove valves or plugs from the cylinder unless the rod is fully retracted and all nitrogen pressure released. Add oil only when the suspension cylinder rod is fully retracted and all nitrogen pressure has been released.
1. Release the nitrogen pressure. 2. Remove bolts and lockwashers (4) and lower guard. 3. Install charging chuck (5). Turn chuck CLOCKWISE to open nitrogen charging valve (1).4. Remove plug (3) from ball check valve (2) and install an 8H6356 Fitting (7).5. Open air bleed valve (8) and fasten volume compressor oil hose connector (6) to ball check valve (2). 6. Use a 7H1680 Lubricant Pump to fill cylinder until oil, free of bubbles and gas, flows from the air bleed valve (8) and charging chuck (5). Use only SAE 10w oil for suspension cylinders.7. Lift the frame enough to permit installation of 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick steel blocks between the stops on the body and frame.8. Use the lubricant pump and fill the suspension cylinder with oil until it flows freely from both the air bleed valve (8) and charging chuck (5).9. Remove fitting (7) and install plug (3).10. Connect the nitrogen charging group. The above procedure must be used on both cylinders to permit the nitrogen to be charged in both cylinders at the same time.Charge Rear Suspension Cylinders (Nitrogen)
Dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in the suspension cylinders. To put oxygen gas into these components will cause an explosion. The danger will not be present if only a nitrogen cylinder with standard CGA (Compressed Gas Association, Inc.) No. 580 Connections is used. When nitrogen gas is ordered be sure the cylinders are equipped with the CGA No. 580 Connections. Do not use color codes to find out if the gas is nitrogen or oxygen. In any application, never use an adapter to connect your nitrogen charging tooling to a valve outlet used on nitrogen and oxygen or other gas cylinders. Be certain to use dry nitrogen.Do not charge only one of the suspension cylinders but relieve nitrogen pressure from the other cylinder and charge them both together.
Do not stand under the vehicle as it is lifted or lowered. The overhead clearance can decrease suddenly.
1. Charge the cylinders with oil. See CHARGE REAR SUSPENSION CYLINDERS (OIL). 2. Turn both charging chucks (1) all the way COUNTERCLOCKWISE.3. CLOSE shutoff valve (2).4. Connect nitrogen charging equipment as shown.5. Turn the charging chuck (1) all the way CLOCKWISE to open nitrogen charging valve.6. OPEN valve (3) on nitrogen tank and adjust regulator until line pressure gauge (4) gives an indication of approximately 500 psi (35.15 kg/cm2) (3450 kPa).7. Open each cylinder valve (5) and shutoff valve (2) slowly. Charge cylinder until 6.5 - 7 in. (16.5 - 17.8 cm) of chrome rod is extended [dimension (A)].8. CLOSE shutoff valve (2) and valve on nitrogen tank.9. Turn charging chuck (1) all the way
