Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Illustration 1 g01498793Note: If the bushings in bracket assembly (16) were removed, use Tooling (A) to install the new bushings.
Coat the lip seals for bracket assembly (16) with clean engine oil. Use Tooling (A) in order to install the lip seals into bracket assembly (16). Install drive shaft (15) and idler gear (14) in bracket assembly (16). Install sleeves (13) in bracket assembly (16).

Install the O-ring seal into the side of the plate assembly that is opposite of gasket (11). Install plate assembly (12). Install gasket (11).

Ensure that valve assembly (10) is not damaged. If valve assembly (10) is damaged, head assembly (9) must be replaced. Valve assembly (10) is a nonserviceable item.
