Remove spring (1) from the rotating group.
Install a 7.000 + 0.010 - 0.030 mm (0.2756 + 0.0004 - 0.0012 inch) spacer in place of spring (1) .
Measure dimension (A) .
Subtract 136.95 + 0.00 - 0.02 mm (5.392 + 0.000 - 0.001 inch) from the measurement in Step 3 in order to determine the thickness of shim (2) .
Refer to the Braking System Specifications, "Pump Rotating Group (Brake Cooling Piston Pump)" for the proper shim to use.
Remove the spacer. Install shim (2) that was selected in Step 5.
