1. Measure the camshaft lobe height (C).

- - - 3. Subtract the base circle measurement in Step 2 from the camshaft lobe height in Step 1. The difference is the actual lobe lift.
- - - The maximum permissible difference between the actual lobe lift in Step 3 and the specified camshaft lobe lift of a new camshaft is 0.10 mm ( 0.0034 inch).
