PELJ1116 ?2009 Caterpillar CATERPILLAR REMAN ANNOUNCES AN APPEARANCE CHANGE TO CERTAIN ELECTRONIC UNIT FUEL INJECTORS
Announcement
The Caterpillar Reman Products Group announces new positioning of the trim code, serial number, and part number laser marking on certain electronic unit injectors. This new positioning will allow the information to be read without removing the injector from the cylinder head. Validation tests confirm the change will not alter quality, reliability, fit, or performance.
Previously, the laser marking was etched on the tappet surface. With this change, the laser marking has been moved to the side of the solenoid. Please note, all identifying information for a Reman injector (trim code, serial number, part number) will appear together in one laser marking as shown below. A list of affected part numbers follows on the next page.
