The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board is based on the Breaker and Contactor Status Board. The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board controls the Maintenance Bypass Circuit Breaker.

The operation of K5 may be coordinated with the operation of the Maintenance Bypass Circuit Breaker. The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board is a stand-alone machine controller for the Maintenance Bypass Cabinet.All status conditions and needed conditions are inputs to the Maintenance Bypass Controller Board. So, all needed conditions are monitored for a safe and controlled transfer to and from Maintenance Bypass. The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board controls the Maintenance Bypass Circuit Breaker and the K5 breaker in the proper sequence in order to guarantee an overlapped transfer with no interruption to or interruption from Maintenance Bypass for service of the Series 1200 UPS.Multidrop Bus
The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board provides serial data over the Series 1200 Multidrop Bus. The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board functions as a slave on this bus, receiving commands from the APC-2 and responding with status information. The Maintenance Bypass Controller Board has a 100-Ohm Terminating Resistor for the Multidrop bus that is selectable by the use of a jumper. Jumper JMP9 provides terminal resistance. There is also a switch that sets the Node ID. Set the Maintenance Bypass Controller Board Node ID and Terminating Resistor jumper to the settings on the following table:

The fuses are indicated in Table 2 below. Visually inspect the fuses. Replace the fuse if the fuse is blown.
