(1) Service brake accumulator (2) Parking brake accumulatorThe brake accumulators are located on the inner frame on the left side of the machine. Service brake accumulator (1) and parking brake accumulator (2) contain supply oil for the brakes. Service brake accumulator (1) and parking brake accumulator (2) maintain the amount of oil in the brake system in order to provide a quick response from the brakes. The oil pressure prevents hard spots in the braking by providing a steady flow of supply oil to the relay valves.The accumulator relief valve in the chassis/brake valve controls the amount of pressure in the brake accumulators.
