4. Remove backup ring (7), O-ring seal (8) and ring (9) from rear cartridge assembly (10).5. Remove rear cartridge assembly (10). Before disassembly of the rear cartridge assembly, put an alignment mark on all the parts for correct assembly.6. Arrows (X) that are next to bolts (11) show the direction of pump rotation. Put identification marks on them for assembly purposes. The correct rear cartridge assembly rotation is in a counterclockwise direction.7. Remove bolts (11) and pressure plate (12) from the wear plate. 8. Remove retainer assemblies (13) from pressure plate (12). 9. Remove O-ring seals (15) from retainers (14). 10. Remove wear plate (16) from the cam. 11. Remove cam (17) from the rotor. 12. Put a rubber band around rotor (18) to hold the vanes and the inserts so they will not fall out of the rotor.13. Remove rotor (18) from the wear plate. 14. Remove and inspect each vane (19) and insert (20) for wear or damage. Each vane must move freely in its opening (slot) in rotor (18). Each insert must move freely in its vane. 15. Remove wear plate (21) from the pressure plate. 16. Remove retainer assemblies (22) from pressure plate (23). 17. Remove O-ring seals (25) from retainers (24). 18. Remove pump body (6) from cover (26). 19. Remove front cartridge assembly (28) from cover (26). Before disassembly of the front cartridge assembly, put an alignment mark on all the parts for correct assembly.20. Arrows (Y) that are next to bolts (27) show the direction of pump rotation. Put identification marks on them for assembly purposes. The correct front cartridge assembly rotation is in a clockwise direction.21. For the disassembly of front cartridge assembly (28) repeat Steps 7 through 17. 22. Remove O-ring seal (30) and ring (29) from cover (26). 23. Remove spiral ring (31) and shaft (32) from the cover. 24. Remove washer (33) from cover (26). 25. Use tool (A) and remove snap ring (34) from shaft (32). 26. Use tool (B) and a press to remove bearing (35) from shaft (32) as shown. 27. Remove seals (36) and (37) from cover (26).28. Clean all parts of the hydraulic pump and inspect them for wear or damage. Damage to any part in the cartridge assemblies, except seals, will require a replacement of the complete cartridge assembly. Put clean hydraulic oil on all parts before assembly. Make sure all parts are installed in their original location for correct pump rotation. The pump rotation is counterclockwise as seen from the input end of the shaft. 1. Use tool group (A) and install two lip type seals (1) in cover (2). Make sure the lips of the seals are toward the pump shaft bearing as shown. 2. Put washer (3) in position in cover (2) as shown. 3. Heat bearing (6) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F) and install it on shaft (4) as shown.4. Use tool (B) and install snap
