The new 325-1410 Water Seal Assembly and 325-1412 Water Seal Assembly and the 352-6061 Liner Seal are performing well as coolant seals in the head to block joint.If water leakage occurs on a cylinder block without inserts, the water leak is either from the 352-6061 Liner Seal or the 325-1410 Water Seal Assemblies and 325-1412 Water Seal Assemblies .On blocks without inserts, the recommendation is to find the source of leak, repair the leak, and install another 362-8264 Cylinder Head Gasket .On blocks with an insert, there is an additional coolant leak path at the outer diameter of the insert. The improved block inserting process will improve the sealing of this leak path but blocks with the previous process are still in service. If a water leak occurs on a block with inserts, an alternate option is to install the 110-6991 Cylinder Head Gasket. Use the gasket under the following conditions:
Cylinder liner projection is within specifications
There is a leak at the outer diameter of the insertThe 110-6991 Cylinder Head Gasket may provide better sealing against water leaks at the insert outer diameter for limited hours. This low-cost temporary repair may be an option on an engine that is close to overhaul.If a combustion gas leak occurs, verify that the cylinder liner projection is within specifications. Replace the 325-1410 Water Seal Assembly and the 325-1412 Water Seal Assembly. Install a new 362-8264 Cylinder Head Gasket. Follow the procedure in the engine Disassembly and Assembly manual.
